Roger Wilbur was trained to be a ceramist and sculptor at the University of Minnesota. After graduating, he lived for two years with Jicarilla Apache tribe in Dulce, NM and became fascinated with the alternative ways of viewing art and form.  He was especially attracted to the jewelry worn by the Indians.  His creations convey special purpose, color, form and personal presence.  Wilbur’s technique is channel inlay and his stones are selected from around the world, each chosen for its own texture, color quality and statement.

Roger is a featured artist in the book "Jewels of the Southwest ~ Turquoise" by Nevada Gem Collection, Annie Osburn.
